What is PerkRule?
PerkRule is the product family. Promotions App is the first app: one WooCommerce workspace for creating, targeting, scheduling, automating, testing, launching and measuring promotions. Future apps can share the same account, release and compatibility infrastructure without turning every job into a separate disconnected product.
Does checkout depend on PerkRule servers?
No. Live cart and checkout decisions stay on your WordPress/WooCommerce installation. Licensing, accounts, updates, telemetry and PerkRule Core are not allowed to become a synchronous dependency for a customer trying to place an order.
What happens if my licence expires or PerkRule Core is unavailable?
Already configured storefront behaviour is designed to keep running from local state. Protected administration, new changes and releases can become unavailable until entitlement or connectivity is restored, but an existing promotion should not stop working just because the control plane is offline.
Why call it an app?
Because the product is built as a working application inside WooCommerce, not as a loose collection of settings screens. Promotion Builder, catalogue control, campaigns, simulator, analytics and operations are designed as one connected workspace.
What does WooCommerce still own underneath?
WooCommerce remains authoritative for the native promotion records, products, orders, cart state, validation and discount arithmetic it already owns. Promotions App adds the workflow, rules, automation, testing, conflict control and reporting around that native foundation instead of inventing a second checkout system.
Can PerkRule remotely inject new PHP when WooCommerce changes?
No arbitrary remote code. Compatibility can select behaviour the installed app already understands, such as supported adapters, safe fallbacks or feature circuit breakers. New executable code still arrives through a proper release.
How does pricing work?
Your first domain on a PerkRule account is free. Each additional domain is €150 per year. Promotions App is not split into Basic and Pro feature tiers: every licensed domain gets the same app capability.
Can I create another account for another free domain?
The free-domain allowance is for the customer behind the account, not an unlimited pool created through duplicate accounts. PerkRule can use account, domain and installation signals to prevent deliberate free-domain duplication while keeping those checks outside live checkout.
